The Children Are Our Future, or CAOF laws were originally enacted in Australia (Earth) in 2020 and were subsequently adopted and adapted by most of the major developed countries before the end of that seriously weird century.
Australia was the first to recognise and act on the frightening trend among its university educated population to choose not to have children. The term Childfree had fallen into general usage and the idea had gained wide acceptance. So much so, that by 2010, more than half of all married couples and long term partners had declared themselves as childfree.
As Tricia-Belle Medusa-Smythe (Australian Prime Minister 2017-2021 and 2023-2032) famously said; "I believe that children are our future.
