The Dawkins Awards are held on the 6th day of every cycle that ends with a 6, at 6:00. They were originally established to recognise successfully propagated Memes and were named after a famous 20th & 21st century thinker whose genetic heritage is present in well over 50% of current SlabCitizens.
The award trophy, or Memie, is much sought after. Perversely, as it is usually not possible to identify the originator of the most successful memes, it is rarely awarded to living individuals.
