Body shop

A Body Shop is a retail facility where SlabCitizens can tune, tone or alter their physical bodies, usually through the use of Stims and subcutaneous EMTIs.

Most Body Shops are co-located with Ego Massage Parlours and are therefore dependent on the specific talents of the individuals who own and run them. This has spawned an entire echelon of sought after Ego-Therapists who are treated as minor celebrities.

As an example, Faith-Sincere van Darwin claims to be booked solid for the next 15 cycles although rumour has it that she might find a space for you 'if you are really special' - which means, of course, that merely getting to see her already boosts your ego and she can just send you a bill. It's this type of Rocket Science that gives Slab a bad name.
