The Valley
Everyone has to live somewhere and it's generally agreed that most people would like to live in the Valley. They can't. It's the highest value real-estate onSlab, is ultimately owned by Child NinetyNine Inc., and the land is eye-wateringly expensive to lease and impossible to buy.
The Valley was originally conceived as a 14Km diameter cylinder that would run the full width of Slab, with a day/night sunstrip in the forward bulkhead and local downs perpendicular to the surface. The sunstrip is gradually powered down every evening and eventually turned off so that the Moxy reservoir behind it glows through as simulated moonlight.
